Ludwig Winery Ltd.

The Ludwig winery is a traditional Moravian winery with more than 130 years of history (founded in 1876), a family tradition and hand-harvesting grapes from its own and contracted vineyards. It focuses primarily on the production of attributive wines from a wide range of traditional varieties, including unique dessert wines (ice and straw), produced using modern controlled fermentation technologies. It has accredited production, its own cellars, a quality control laboratory and an equipped production hall with a finishing operation and a distribution warehouse.

The company is a founding member of VOC Modré hory and VOC Kraví hora, certified according to ISO 9001 and 14001, and has achieved significant awards at prestigious international competitions (e.g. Double Gold for Riesling/Aurelius 2019 – Finger Lakes Wine Competition, Silver and Gold medals in the USA or the King of Wines of the Czech Republic category). Annual production reaches approximately 1.2 million bottles from 12 hectares of vineyards with varieties such as Hibernal, Riesling, Traminer, Dornfelder, Sylvan and Blue Portugal.
