Kroměřížská nemocnice a.s., established as a joint-stock company in 2005, builds on more than a century of tradition as a regional healthcare facility, originally known as the Emperor Franz Joseph I Jubilee Hospital (opened in 1910). Today, it provides a wide range of healthcare services—from primary to specialized care—including inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostics, intensive care, surgery, acute care, and pharmacy services for the residents of Kroměříž, the wider region, and, in certain specialties, the entire country. 

The hospital has an extensive network of clinics and departments, including surgery, internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, gynecology, pulmonary medicine, ophthalmology, rehabilitation, and specialized centers such as oncology and central sterilization. In addition to providing healthcare, it is a major teaching center—offering clinical training and accreditation for medical students and nurses and participating in educational programs for healthcare personnel. It also organizes professional events, such as Professional Days, and has operated the Caregivers’ Support Club since 2024.

The hospital is also an active institution in the areas of public procurement and the digitization of healthcare. It has an internal patient portal, provides an emergency pharmacy service, and operates its own medical transport service, plasmapheresis, hemodialysis, and rapid diagnostics. It focuses on modernizing its infrastructure and processes using grants and regional NANOPROGRESS projects.
