State Institute of Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection, vvi

The State Institute of Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Protection (SÚJCHBO, vvi) is a public research institution established by Act No. 341/2005, founded by the SÚJB. The institute conducts research and development in the areas of radioactive, chemical and biological threats (CBRN) and provides technical and analytical support for the supervision of the SÚJB and the protection of the population and the environment. It is also involved in the Integrated Rescue System (IZS) and, as needed, assists in emergencies. In addition to science, it also offers testing of detection systems, protective equipment, decontamination and expands the qualifications of IRS units in the form of courses, training and internships. The institute is a certified metrological, toxicological and chemical-biological center with accredited laboratories.
