Uherskohradiště Hospital a.s.

Uherskohradišťská Nemocnice, a joint-stock company, has been operating since 1924 (originally as a district hospital) and is today a key healthcare facility in the Zlín Region. It provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care in more than twenty fields – from surgery, internal medicine and ARO to child care, gynecology, psychiatric and palliative care. The hospital is the only accredited institution in the region according to the standards of the United Accreditation Commission (SAK) and carefully monitors the quality of care and patient experience.

In 2020, the hospital went through a challenging COVID-19 pandemic, became a referral center for the affected entire regions, opened triage and vaccination centers, and successfully managed the reorganization of operations and restructuring of capacities. It invested in the modernization of diagnostic methods - for example, the acquisition of SPECT-CT equipment - and the expansion of the building structure, including the reconstruction of the pulmonary pavilion and the catering area. It is also involved in community activities - it organizes "Family Day", supports blood and plasma donors, runs the podcast "PULSování" and a hospital pharmacy with benefit services for employees. The hospital has approximately 1,370 employees, of which around 200 are doctors. It emphasizes a digital management system, transparent public procurement, career development and staff training. It has a modern emergency department, diagnostics, a central sterilization department, a pharmacy, other support services and volunteer programs.
