It was founded in 2008 by experts in the field of medical and materials engineering and its management, headed by Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Ev\u017een Amler, CSc., guarantees a high professional level and strong ties to academic institutions, especially Charles University and the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The company focuses on the development of metrological, optical and laboratory equipment, with the key segment being the generation of functionalized nanofiber layers for medicine and biotechnology. It has long been dedicated to the development of nanomaterials with antiviral and antibacterial properties, e.g. using povidone-iodine, which are tested for use in healthcare (including effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the company is engaged in custom development of measuring and testing equipment, creation of technical documentation, professional studies and training. Student Science is an active player in the field of technology transfer, professional expertise and application-oriented research.
