It educates approximately 14,000 students in bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s and doctoral programs. Its top priorities include research in nanotechnology, materials engineering, the environment and industrial digitalization, including sensor development, battery cleaning and geomicrobial technologies. V\u0160B\u2013TUO is also home to NanoOstrava and the Center for Nanotechnology (CEET), which organizes international conferences, provides laboratory facilities and coordinates cooperation with industrial partners and cluster initiatives such as Nanoprogress.
