Innovative use of nanofibers and 3D bioprinting for regenerative medicine
Provider: Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO)
Project implementation period: 01.06.2023 – 31.12.2026
Project Number: CZ.01.01.01/01/22_002/0000798
The NANOPROGRESS Cluster is currently working on the project "Innovative Use of Nanofibers and 3D Bioprinting for Regenerative Medicine", which is co-financed by the European Union.
The aim of this project is the innovative therapeutic application of functionalized nanofiber 3D scaffolds as medicinal products intended for the treatment of tendon ruptures and severe skin tissue injuries. Tendon injuries, most commonly caused by chronic overuse (e.g., during sports) or as a result of trauma, along with serious skin injuries (mechanical injuries, burns, diabetic wounds, etc.), represent frequent non-fatal medical issues that doctors regularly encounter today.
