The project should expand the existing technological base of the Liberec plant and improve the world's unique nanofiber preparation technology (AC electrospinning). The improvement is mainly directed to the area of preparation of flat nanofibrous structures up to 500 mm wide prepared by means of innovative electrodes, as well as to the use of technology for the creation of composite nanofibrous surgical thread and the development of small-diameter nanofibrous tubes related to the development of tissue engineering.

The delivered devices should increase the application of nanofibrous structures, e.g. for the purposes of filtration, biomedical applications, applications in the field of polymer nanofibers, applications in wastewater treatment, catalysis, biomedicine, as well as expand their use in the assortment of multi-layer textiles and enable the improvement of standard products by adding a nanofibrous layer and creating a composite nanofibrous structure with added practical value. The newly acquired devices will allow cluster members access to key technologies and, in addition to the possibility of expanding the product portfolio of industrial members, will allow the expansion of the knowledge base in the field of key, in the world unique knowledge obtained through research, design, construction and improvement of existing technology and their parts.
